About The Maples Montessori
The Maples Montessori was established in 2002. Maples Montessori is a privately owned preschool service. Its current proprietor Vicki Mathews trained in Saint Nicholas Montessori College. The manager is Angela Campbell. Vicki has over 25 years experience in the field of Montessori teaching and she prides herself in the fact that all members of staff are fully trained in the Montessori method.
Montessori teaching is renowned worldwide for the benefits it gives to young children.
Maples Montessori supports each child to reach their full learning potential in a safe, secure and stimulating environment. Our aim is to prepare the child for the challenges of primary school and the outside world through a quality curriculum. Our core values are responsibility, security, happiness, equality, nurture and respect.

Owner
Vicki is the current owner of The Maples, trained in Saint Nicholas Montessori College. Vicki has over 25 years experience in the field of Montessori teaching and she prides herself in the fact that all members of staff are fully trained in the Montessori method.
Angela Campbell
ORANGE CLASS LEADER/MANAGER
Hi, my name is Angela, and I joined The Maples in 2000 when we first opened. I’ve trained at Portobello College where I received my Diploma in Modern Montessori Teaching. I have had a long career in childcare and have worked in The Maples for over 26 years. Myself and all the staff at The Maples continue to update our skills and qualifications on a regular basis and continue to renew ourselves on all Early Years Publications.

Ann Marie
EARLY YEARS PRACTITIONER
Hello, my name is Ann-Marie (Annie) and I have been working with The Maples since 2015. I have been working in the childcare sector since 2002. I received my certificate in childcare and development from The School of Practical Childcare in 2003. In 2006, I received my Diploma from Portobello Institute. Throughout the last 20 years I have continued to complete courses on a regular basis to keep my skills up to date. Currently I hold the following qualifications

Brenda
EARLY YEARS PRACTITIONER
Hi, my name is Brenda and I’ve been working in childcare since 2009. I’ve trained at Portobello College where I received my diploma in Montessori. I joined The Maples in September 2021 working as AIMS Support Teacher and continue to work in this role to date. Currently I hold the following qualifications.
- Montessori trained at Level 6
- Level 6 Advanced Certificate Early Childhood care & Education
- Level 6 QQI Special Needs Assisting
- First Aid Response
- Lámh trained.
- Sensory Processing trained.
Kaisha
EARLY YEARS PRACTITIONER
Hello, my name is Kasia, and I have been working with The Maples since 2019. I trained at Drogheda Institute of Education (DIFE) where I received my Level 6. I am currently studying part-time for a level 8 degree in Early Childcare and Education. I started as an AIM support, and I continue to work in this role to date. I have also completed the LINC courses and I am the Inclusion Co Ordinator for The Maples. I currently hold the following qualifications.
- Level 6 Major Award Advance Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education
- Level 6 Special purpose award in Leadership for Inclusion in the Early Years
- Lámh trained.

Shauna
BLUE CLASS LEADER
Hi, my name is Shauna Mulroy, and I joined the team in 2017. I am currently classroom leader in the Blue Class at The Maples. I trained at Portobello College where I received my Diploma in 2007. Currently I hold the following qualifications..
- Montessori trained at level 6.
- SNA trained/ Special needs Assisting Level 6.
- Fetac Level 5/6 trained.

EARLY YEARS PRACTITIONER
Hello, my name is Catherine Flynn. I have worked in childcare since 2007. I joined The Maples in 2018 as an AIMS Support Teacher and continue to work in this role to date. Currently I hold the following qualifications.
- Fetac Level 5 in Childcare
- Fetac Level 6 in Supervision in Childcare
- Lámh trained.
